FCP Euro Kits

Coming off their first race of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season at Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course, the FCP Euro Motorsports team heads to the Finger Lakes region of New York for the fourth and fifth round of the season.

Drivers of the number 11 Mercedes-AMG GT4 Michael Hurczyn and Nate Vincent were able to secure a mid-pack finish (10/21) in the GS class just weeks ago at Mid-Ohio in their first appearance in sportscar racing. After an incident-free race and no major mechanical issues with the cars, the team returned to headquarters at FCP Euro in Milford, CT, with a car that needed nothing more than to be set up for both the drivers and the upcoming challenge that is Watkins Glen International Raceway.

Over the weeks since Mid-Ohio, the crew, taking what they learned about both the cars and drivers, set out to dial in the #11 for The Glen. While it’s always important to dial in a car for a specific track, it’s vital leading up to Watkins Glen, as IMSA will run rounds four and five here two consecutive weekends. With borders still closed between the United States and Canada, a decision was made to cancel round five at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport) in favor of running the fifth round not far from the border at The Glen.

Round four will be the team’s first four-hour race of the season and the only one for the remainder of the season. Round five will return to the standard two-hour format that they face the rest of the year.
