FCP Euro Service Kits

FCP Euro Kits

At FCP Euro, motorsports is an integral part of our brand, culture, and growth. The two Volkswagen GTI TCRs that we purchased back in early 2018 represent the start of our efforts in professional motorsports, have become synonymous with our company and the brand itself, and are currently up for sale.

These identical Volkswagen GTI TCRs were purchased new from the factory and delivered directly to the team at Road Atlanta to kick off the team's first foray into professional motorsports early in 2018. Prior to the acquisition of the TCRs, FCP Euro had successfully campaigned in AER with their race-winning Mercedes C300 built in-house.

While FCP Euro purchased these TCRs to race in Pirelli World Challenge, that wasn't their only purpose—they were displayed equally as much as raced. From being parked at local events like the student-run UConn UC3 car show to being displayed in the FCP Euro customer experience center, to giving hundreds of ridealongs at GRIDLIFE Midwest and South Festivals, these two TCRs captured the attention of thousands of fans, both young and old.

To learn the more intimate history of these cars, both the #71 & #72 FCP Euro VW GTI TCRs were featured in the Amazon Prime & YouTube series, "The Paddock." The FCP Euro team documented their journey from receiving them for the first time in 2018 at Road Atlanta, all the way up through the 2019 SRO TC America Championship season finale.

In both cars' inaugural season of the Pirelli World Challenge, they finished 5th and 7th when running the stock DSG transmissions. In the winter between the 2018 and 2019 season, both cars had their DSG transmissions pulled, and
Sadev ST82-17 sequential gearboxes were installed. The sequential gearboxes' benefits helped level the playing field with the competition, and propelled the team to a 1-2 finish in the 2019 SRO TC America Championship.

It's a bittersweet moment for FCP Euro, as even though we're selling two cars (and a bunch of spares, more on that below) that are the very fabric of our professional motorsports DNA, it means we've had our success and are ready to move onto the next chapter. The team has their sights set on more prestigious series, both domestic and international, and we're looking for cars that are both competitive and aspirational, while also supporting a more diverse racing landscape.

The listing will be on Bring a Trailer, but we're posting it on our blog first, to let our loyal fanbase know that while we're closing this chapter of our motorsports history, a new one is coming right behind it.
