Time flies when you're having fun and this year, we're not sure where the time went.
Simply put, 2017 was the biggest year in FCP Euro company history. If you break it down into categories—people, motorsports, events, DC operations, customer service tickets answered, I'm not really sure how we did it all.
Of course, we did, and here are some of the milestones:
-We hired 26 new employees, covering nearly every department.
-We grew our revenue by 28% as compared to the previous year.
-We started a professional motorsports program, and in our first year competing in the Pirelli World Challenge series, driver Anthony Magagnoli received the "Rookie of the Year" award.
-We bought, built, raced, and earned 2nd place overall in the American Endurance Racing championship with our #720 Mercedes-Benz C300.
-We bought, built, and continue to participate in drift events with a Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG drift car in the "Dapper Drift" YouTube series.
-We created a dedicated space for motorsports and video production next door to our facility to help us grow our operation in 2018.
-We hosted three cars & coffee events at our facility, the first having around 20 cars, the last having over 200.
-We attended local enthusiast events like MPACT, Dubs on Defrost, Waterfest, H20i, Bimmerfest East, SEMA, and more.
-We answered 17,000+ service messages and phonecalls since October, 2017.
-We created a strong culture within the organization, consisting of team-building activities like park night (playing sports outside after hours), getting to know you lunches, kids day, meme contests, secret santa, cookie swaps, ugly sweater contests, go karting, employee car washes, and giveaways—just to name a few.
-We had the biggest cyber week in company history, pushing out over 1,000 packages per day with the help of some new outbound automation in our distrubtion center.
All this, and I've still left so much out. There's just too many things to mention. What I will say, is that we're only going to build on all of these successes in 2018.
