Our July 2018 Cars And Coffee Was The Biggest One Yet
308 cars big.
Cars and coffee is a relatively simple concept—provide a (preferably) paved parking lot, arrange a time for everyone to meet, and hand out coffee to those that show up. We've seen our show, which started as a humble little gathering for enthusiasts, blow up to the level we saw this past Sunday. It was absolutely awesome.
First, we couldn't have asked for better weather. This time of year in New England is usually hit or miss, especially with the heat waves we've experienced this summer, but Sunday was a beautiful 70-something degrees and sun. That certainly helps the coffee go down faster, and also helps justify coming for all those who spent the night cleaning their car.
Speaking of which, we have to give a special shoutout to Boston Brew Company, who slung out cups of cold-brewed coffee (or draft nitro, depending on your preference) to everyone who wanted one. Sorry, Dunkin' Donuts, we're not coming back.
We were also surprised to see how many people wanted to buy parts during the event. Typically, during a normal weekday of operation, we have 10-20 people in the distribution center picking and packing orders, but for an event like this, we run a lighter operation in terms of staff. We won't make that mistake again.
Our next Cars and Coffee event will be September 22nd, and it'll be even bigger and better than this one. If you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see at these events, or make better, drop them in the comments below and we'll be sure to take it into account.
