The varying power levels of Volvo's P80 chassis dictated a wide range of engines in its run from 1993-2004. To discover different levels of economy and performance, Volvo utilized a smattering of different turbocharger and fuel injector combinations. The non-turbo vehicles were equipped with lower flowing injectors, while the T5 and HPT models got relatively large turbochargers and higher flowing injectors.

Red

Volvo's Red injectors flow at 315cc/min and were utilized in the 98-00 low pressure turbo (LPT) vehicles.

Orange

Orange injectors flow 315cc/min and can be found in the original 850 Turbo models from 94-97.

White & Blue

White and Blue injectors flow exactly the same. However, in their original applications, they are specified for different flow rates, as the vehicles run at different fuel pressures. White injectors are specified at 350cc/min in a 1998 S70 T5, for example, but Blue injectors are specified at 395cc/min in the 99/00 S70 T5. If whites are taken from a 98 S70 T5 and installed in a 99 Volvo S70 T5, the flow rate will increase due to the higher regulated pressure in this vehicle.

Green

Green injectors flow 468cc/min and are the best for large turbo applications like the 18T or 19T. These were standard on the 2000 Volvo V70R, as well as the later Volvo S60R introduced in 2004.

Dimensionally, all of these injectors are identical, so swapping them is easy. When considering a larger turbocharger and tune, always research which injector is best. Too much fuel is better than not enough - running lean can cause horrific damage to pistons, valves, and the combustion chamber in general.
