Have you ever wondered what it takes to build a professional racing team from the ground up? Whether it be the vision for the program, funding, logistics, or even just what happens after the race, all of these steps are traditionally shielded from the average enthusiast and viewer. The Paddock, our motorsport video series, focuses on exactly that and we've kicked off season two to show you what it takes to make it all happen.
If you've watched the earlier episodes of Season Two of The Paddock (which you really should if you haven't), you know all the work that goes into funding and organizing a motorsports program and, more specifically, all the work that goes into funding, organizing, and actually running a motorsports program within FCP Euro.
The fifth episode of this season focuses on our first experience at GRIDLIFE Midwest and race seven and eight of the TC America Championship at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California. With a jam packed schedule, the team found themselves going back to back–straight from Michigan to the starkly contrasting, Sonoma, California. Although both events were a massive success, they weren't without difficulty. Extreme weather caused the awning to land on the cars, and a battle between the two drivers at the front of the pack nearly puts the program in jeopardy.
