FCP Euro Service Kits

FCP Euro Kits

FCP Euro is proud to announce the addition of UUC Motorwerks performance products to the BMW parts catalog. For those of you who are unfamiliar with UUC and some of the products they offer this blog post will be loaded with content explaining the advantages of the parts that UUC engineers and manufactures.

Finding solutions to common BMW problems

DSSR UUC Dual Shear Selector Rod

First, let’s start off with some background on UUC. UUC is a performance engineering company that sees the opportunity to improve upon what BMW has already created. As enthusiasts, we all know while BMW does a good job out of the box there is still room for improvement. UUC has been in the business for nearly 20 years and has strived to consistently find solutions to common problems that BMW owners experience. Some of the products that UUC is well known for are their Ultimate Short Shift Kits, dual shear selector rods, lightweight flywheel and clutch kits, and suspension/chassis products. It is important to note that every UUC product is designed, engineered, and manufactured 100% in the USA (a rarity in today's business climate). UUC started off with their Ultimate Short Shifter. This shifter replaces the OEM shift lever with an all-steel version augmented with a silicone vibration damper and full ball-bearing pivot design. These shifters are widely known as the best on the market as they help drastically improve shifter feel and add more precision to the otherwise sloppy OEM shifter. Most UUC short shifters reduce shift throws any nearly 35% and feature a vibration isolated design with bearings at every pivot point. when coupled with a dual sheer selector rod, almost all lateral play in the shifter is removed allowing for more precise throws and an overall tighter feeling.

Greater performance, quicker acceleration

UUC just doesn’t do shifters. UUC also took it a step further when they introduced their lightweight flywheel and hub sprung hub clutch kits. The reality is that BMW is one of the few car manufactures in which you can get a manual transmission. There are two problems with the traditional OEM flywheel and clutch kit. The OEM flywheel is a dual mass design which is a common pain point. When they wear out vibrations can occur in the drivetrain and they need to be replaced. This is an expensive proposition. UUC addressed this with the creation of their lightweight solid single mass flywheels. These solid single mass flywheels also feature a replaceable friction surface essentially making them a lifetime part. To further complement their flywheels, UUC offers a traditional hub sprung hub sprung clutch disc and 100% eliminates the self-adjusting clutch mechanism. The lightweight flywheels offer greater performance, quicker acceleration, and help aid rev matching while the clutch kits offer added durability and easier servicing.

Replace failure-prone OE components

BMWs are most noted for how they connect with the road and the feedback that they provide to the driver. Those of us who have owned a BMW long enough know that BMWs love to chew through their bushings and in some extreme cases even damage their chassis. UUC has an array of squeak-free polyurethane bushings that are developed to replace failure prone OE components and have also developed chassis reinforcement kits to prevent or repair chassis damage. All these types of products are ideal for the street driven and modified car alike. Whether your BMW is a street car or track car UUC products are going to benefit your BMW. Made in USA quality is backed up with a lifetime warranty.
