New Call-to-action

It's time to spice up your desktop.

Welcome to our weekly edition of weekend wallpaper, where we attempt to remove whatever boring standard desktop wallpaper came with your computer—or phone, or tablet, or any other device with a screen—and replace it with something better. Something, preferably, with four wheels and a fantastic exhaust note.

This weekend it's our 2003 W211 Mercedes E55 AMG, better known as the car from our YouTube series "Dapper Drift."

Our developer, Denis Ivanov, started with a completely stock '03 E55 AMG and over the past year has incrementally turned it into a full on drifter. The most recent modification is flared fenders, but the build is much more purposeful and wholesome than that.

There's a coil over suspension, a custom MOMO steering wheel with CNC-machined electronic paddle shifters attached to a custom hub, a custom-built hydraulic handbrake, wheels and tires, and so much more.

The best part about this particular W211, is that it's still functional as a car. When Denis isn't shredding the rear tires at a drift event, he's getting groceries, picking up friends, and doing all the things you would expect from someone who owns a four-door saloon. There's even Android auto installed behind the dash.

Look out for Denis and his crazy AMG at Sonoma Raceway for the drift events, and if you can't make it out there, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel to get all the event recaps pushed right to your inbox.
